With over 20+ years of experience in retail, mainly in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, including cruise lines, ports, tour operators and amusement parks, Andres is a seasoned leader with a passion for creating and driving the retail vision of the companies he collaborates with.

As CEO & Founder of AVG+ Group, Andres joined Global Ports Holdings, the world’s largest cruise port operator, as Advisor to the Chairman for the Americas in 2023 and currently serves as Vice President of Retail & Ancillary Revenue, where he oversees all retail strategies and operations throughout 30 ports, in 14 countries within the Caribbean, Europe/Mediterranean & Asia-Pacific regions. Before collaborating with GPH, he served at Carnival Cruise Line for 6 years, as Senior Director of Retail, where he was responsible for all retail services of the company, including in-house and partnerships/concessions, overseeing all channels and categories with full P&L responsibility on a $350M a year business.

Prior to Carnival, Andres worked as Corporate Head of Retail at the prestigious Xcaret Group, overseeing all the merchandising, product development and retail operations teams on the 60+ shops within the 7 Mexican Riviera famous amusement/theme parks and hotels. Andres has been a keynote speaker in various industry events and has received multiple awards as an executive, as well as for creating innovative, outside of the box products, concepts and shops.
